This was our last week into the unit: Who We Are.
We looked at how safety is important for our wellbeing. We agreed with Eddie that safety means "not getting injured."
Kotaru said that "we have to look for red light and green light" to which Amelia added that "we should hold a grown ups hand when crossing the road and when in the car we should remember to wear our seat belts" Holly said that we have to "look for cars when crossing the road" and "don't play Pokemon Go when crossing the road!
Lucas said that 'We have to look when rock climbing and we should not jump from top to bottom." Jiarui said "no pushing in the playground."
We not only looked at safety on road but also looked at how we should be safe at school and at home.
We had Amelia's mom come to class as a mystery reader. She read us Amelia's favourite book 'Room on the broom' by Julia Donaldson.
